The AI Film Awards festival made its Cannes debut on May 21, and one title set the tone for the evening. The Reborns: Cinderella, an AI mini-series produced by the UAE studio IFREE ART SOLUTIONS and presented by Vladimir Kedrinsky, met a warm reception from the festival audience and walked away with the event’s Special Prize.

Framed as a contemporary social satire, The Reborns: Cinderella follows a modern-day Cinderella who stumbles onto a mysterious island and is drawn into a secret ball that echoes the cult atmosphere of Eyes Wide Shut. The strange night becomes a turning point, gradually reshaping her into a sought-after media personality.

UPCOMING PROJECTS FROM IFREE ART SOLUTIONS
The studio is rolling out four audiovisual and cinematic projects this year, each built for XR formats and immersive media, including 360-degree experiences:
- Divergention — A space saga on digital immortality, inspired by the musical legacy of German electronic composer Klaus Schulze.
- Wonderland Noir — An immersive musical show featuring Los Angeles artist Toledo.
- Interpolation — A film devoted to immersing audiences in the meanings of Burning Man.

ALSO AT CANNES: CHEMIAKIN
Beyond The Reborns: Cinderella, IFREE brought a second title to Cannes, screening out of competition the biographical film Chemiakin, co-produced with the American studio Apollo Film Production. The portrait honours celebrated American artist and sculptor Mikhail Chemiakin, who is based in France, and was captured over an extraordinary span of 36 years.
